First Detection of Global Ionospheric Disturbances Associated with the Most Powerful Gamma Ray Burst GRB221009A

چکیده
We present the first report of global ionospheric disturbances due to most powerful Gamma Ray Burst GRB221009A occurred on 9 October 2022. Very Low Frequency (VLF) and (LF) sub-ionospheric radio signals are used diagnose effect GRB lower ionosphere. Both daytime nighttime effects analyzed in VLF LF bands. The magnitude signal perturbations varied with propagation condition (day/night), path length, frequency signal. recovery times for VLF/LF get back their pre-GRB levels from 2–60 min. Radio reflected E-region ionosphere showed greater compared parts D-region.

Gamma-Ray Burst Detection with INTEGRAL/SPI
The spectrometer SPI, one of the two main instruments of the INTEGRAL spacecraft, has strong capabilities in the field of GammaRay Burst (GRB) detections. In its 16 field of view (FoV) SPI is able to trigger and to localize GRBs with an accuracy for strong bursts better than 1. The expected GRB detection rate is about one per month.

Context. The Mini-Calorimeter (MCAL) instrument on-board the AGILE satellite is a non-imaging gamma-ray scintillation detector sensitive in the 300 keV–100 MeV energy range with a total on-axis geometrical area of 1400 cm2. Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) are one of the main scientific targets of the AGILE mission and the MCAL design as an independent self-triggering detector makes it a valuable all-sk...
متن کاملGamma-Ray Burst Afterglows
Extended, fading emissions in multi-wavelength are observed following Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs). Recent broadband observational campaigns led by the Swift Observatory reveal rich features of these GRB afterglows. Here we review the latest observational progress and discuss the theoretical implications for understanding the central engine, composition, and geometric configuration of GRB jets, as w...
متن کاملGamma-ray burst models.
I consider various possibilities for making gamma-ray bursts, particularly from close binaries. In addition to the much-studied neutron star+neutron star and black hole+neutron star cases usually considered good candidates for short-duration bursts, there are also other possibilities. In particular, neutron star+massive white dwarf has several desirable features. These systems are likely to pro...
متن کاملThe Gamma-ray Burst Mystery
Gamma-ray bursts are transient events from beyond the solar system. Besides the allure of their mysterious origin, bursts are physically fascinating because they undoubtedly require exotic physics. Optical transients coincident with burst positions show that some, and probably all, bursts originate at cosmological distances, and not from a large Galactic halo. Observations of these events’ spec...
